CFL Pool Live Chat Room Rules

The intent of the Simple CFL Pool Chat Room is to provide a place for pool participants to meet and discuss the pool or the CFL in general (or some general discussion between players). The chat room is hosted on DALnet as channel #CFL_Pool on their IRC servers (irc.dal.net). In addition to observing DALnet's terms of use, we have a few simple rules for the chat room:

  1. Be courteous. You don't have to agree with everything that's said in the discussion, but try to respect the opinions of the other partcipants. Same thing if there's someone new and doesn't know their way around using a chat room. Try to help them, and remember when you were a "newby".

  2. Try to stay on topic. This rule is pretty flexible, because almost anything can be on topic. Remember that this is an open forum, so try to avoid discussing things best kept private. If you want to hold a private discussion with another person in the room, you should probably open a private channel.

  3. Keep the profanity to a minimum. Remember that this is a public channel and you never know who might be listening.

We've installed a 'bot called CFLBot in the chat room. Most of the time it sits idle, just lurking in the background, but is there to help when called upon. For instructions on using CFLBot please have a look at the "Bot Help" link in the menu bar above.

We hope you enjoy your time in the chat room.
